The LED Show is a conference and exhibition focused on the fast-growing lighting design and technology segment of the LED industry. The event attracts leading LED manufacturers displaying the latest technology and products for attendees to view, compare, and evaluate. The latest in LED fixtures from multiple sources are featured on the exhibit floor enabling attendees to make informed specifying or purchasing decisions.

The LED Show is targeted to architects, electrical engineers, home builders, hotel engineers and designers. The 2011 event hosted 87 exhibitors and drew an attendance of more than 3,000 from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Korea, Japan, China, England, Netherlands, Australia, and Greece. The LED Show is held annually and will take place July 31 – August 1, 2012 at the Rio Pavilion Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada USA.

News From LEDs Magazine

The DOE has conducted another round of SSL retrofit lamp test involving 38 products, and at Strategies in Light reported general improvements in lumen output and CRI.
Veeco Instruments has announced lower revenues in the last quarter of 2011 despite new tool orders from Taiwan and Korea. Aixtron has partnered with a financial firm to provide leasing options on MOCVD equipment.
LED manufacturer Bridgelux has announced a $25 million investment from Kaistar Lighting, and an SSL project in Tulsa, Oklahoma, that uses luminaires from Amerlux.
Marvell introduced what it calls a deep-dimming SSL driver IC at Strategies in Light while Texas Instruments, NXP, iWatt, On Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics, and Monolithic Power Systems all demonstrated recently-launched LED driver ICs.
The US DOE has released a financial analysis tool that allows municipalities and utilities to calculate the cost of a retrofit LED-based street light installation including rebates, loan costs, energy savings and return on investment.
